Southern Hill Farms Fall Festival

Southern Hill Farms, a 120-acre family farm at 16651 Schofield Road that grows blueberries, strawberries and peaches, holds its 11th annual Fall Festival from Sept. 26 to Nov. 22.

  • When: select Thursdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the farm says.
  • Halloween: open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, the farm’s ticket page says. Weekend tickets carry an entry time; Thursday and Friday tickets are general admission. Prices go up $1 at midnight on the day of the visit.
  • Tickets: required for everyone 3 and older and sold online only, in advance; the farm does not take payment at the gate. Children 2 and under are free. Weekend tickets carry an arrival time. Buy tickets.
  • Pumpkins: a pumpkin patch barn with pumpkins of many sizes and colors, gourds, corn stalks and Indian corn, sold separately; prices vary. The farm buys its pumpkins from growers around the country, already cut from the vine, because pumpkins do not grow well in Central Florida in the fall.
  • Food and fun: apple cider doughnuts, blueberry lemonade, hot and frozen cider and pumpkin muffins from a vintage Airstream bakery, fire pits for s’mores, photo spots and a fun zone included with admission.
  • Rules: no pets, no drones and no large photography props.

Clermont Harvest Festival, Saturday, Oct. 31

Clermont Main Street’s Harvest Festival fills downtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Halloween:

  • More than 100 artisan vendors
  • A costume contest for people and pets
  • A kids zone and activities
  • Live music and food trucks

Parking is free at the City Center and Minneola Avenue lots, Clermont Main Street says. Main Street warns vendors that it books them directly and never through outside companies or individuals; anyone asking vendors for money on its behalf is a scammer, it says.
