Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9, 2027. It lands on a farmers market Sunday in Clermont, and a holiday 5K series has already put a Mother’s Day race on the calendar. Brunch and special events will be added as restaurants and venues announce them.

Mother’s Day morning

Dream Finders Homes Mother’s Day 5K, Sunday, May 9, 2027. The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. and kids races at 9 a.m. Every 5K runner gets a chip-timed race, a T-shirt and a finisher’s medal. The organizer lists the start and finish as “Clermont/Winter Garden”; the exact location will be on its page.

Downtown Clermont Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clermont Main Street’s Sunday market at 752 W. Montrose St. has fresh produce, handcrafted goods and local vendors, open the morning of Mother’s Day.

Last year on the farm

In 2025 Southern Hill Farms, 16651 Schofield Road, held Celebrating Mom, a Mother’s Day weekend u-pick from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Moms got a pound of u-pick blueberries free, with live music, blueberry, sunflower, zinnia and peach picking, a bakery and a kid zone. In 2026 the farm held a Wine Walk the evening before Mother’s Day. Its 2027 plans had not been posted when we checked.

Gift markets and shopping

• Downtown shops. Clermont Main Street’s business directory lists the boutiques, gift shops and cafes around Montrose Street and Eighth Street. See our guide to historic downtown Clermont.
• Family Food Fest. Main Street’s food truck night is the first Saturday of the month; in 2026 the May edition was Sat. May 2, 4 to 8 p.m.
• Wine Stroll. Main Street’s monthly wine walk was Friday, May 15, in 2026, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Ideas for the afternoon

• The Citrus Tower. The Florida Citrus Tower, 141 N. U.S. Highway 27, has an observation deck and a coffee shop. Phone: 352-394-4061.
