How admission works

The school’s enrollment and lottery policy (PDF), used by all Pinecrest Academy, Inc. schools, says:

  • The school sets and advertises a registration and lottery date.
  • Current students, siblings of enrolled or accepted students, children of the school’s teachers and, with limits, children of governing board members are admitted without the lottery if they file an intent-to-return form in time.
  • If qualified applicants outnumber the seats in a grade or program, every applicant goes into a random lottery, with a school administrator and a board member or independent auditor present. The rest go on a waitlist in the order drawn.
