Memorial Day is Monday, May 31, 2027. The City of Clermont marks it with a ceremony at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, and in recent years has brought traveling memorial walls to the city for the weekend. The ceremony

In 2026 the city held Clermont’s Memorial Day Observance Program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 25, inside the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S. U.S. Highway 27. The program honors the men and women who died in military service. The city posts speakers, dignitaries and performers on its Memorial Day page in the weeks before.

Veterans who want to take part in city veterans events can reach the Parks and Recreation staff listed on the city’s Veterans Day page.

The memorial walls (2026)

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Clermont Police Department and the Patriot Guard Riders escorted the Vietnam Memorial Wall and the Global War on Terrorism Wall from the BJ’s parking lot to the Arts and Recreation Center starting at 9 a.m. The city set viewing hours from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

Storms changed the plan. The city said wind damaged parts of the display overnight, and organizers took the wall down to protect it, moving the ceremony indoors. Whether a wall returns in 2027 will be on the city’s Memorial Day page.
